Our client, a well-established company with a focus on maintaining high standards in warehousing and inventory control, is seeking a dedicated Stores Controller to uphold their reputation for quality and reliability. Duties: Generate and capture cycle counts Issue stock to staff as required Perform counts on consumables and production consumables Receive products from suppliers Load and offload vehicles Ensure stock adjustments are accurately recorded in the system Manage stores and oversee daily activities Maintain good housekeeping standards in storage areas Ensure 5S standards are maintained Issue and transfer materials to the workshop as needed Assist workshop staff QC check incoming items File and document MSDSs and COCs for all incoming materials Maintain supplier evaluation records and rate suppliers annually Provide requested information to management Keep storage and work areas clean and uncluttered Close audit findings and implement corrective actions Suggest process improvements for QMS Maintain FIFO in all storage areas Internal and external audits Root cause analysis procedure Requirements: Minimum 5 years experience in a warehousing environment Matric or equivalent qualification Proficiency in MS Office Operational knowledge of Pastel Experience in a dynamic, stores operating environment Forklift operation skills Backstock management expertise Inventory control knowledge Valid forklift license Valid driver’s license Must be able to work overtime and public holidays when required by the company Preferable : Familiarity with inventory management systems Strong organizational and communication skills If you are ready to bring your warehousing expertise to an organization that values efficiency and precision, we encourage you to apply now and take the next step in your career.
